The Story Behind Quilts by Ruth Dilts
As a retired Army Staff Sergeant and a disabled veteran, serving 21 years, I founded Quilts by Ruth Dilts as a means to help myself regain stability in the world and improve my well-being both physically and mentally. My 40 years of sewing experience are part of me, and I utilize my skills to craft beautiful quilts for those in search of a touch of home, warmth, and joy to bring into their lives!
Making quilts serves as a theraputic outlet for me, and I truly enjoy what I do! I not only produce quilts and other products for the general public but also have the opportunity to donate the proceeds to disabled veterans across the nation, allowing them to feel the community support from their fellow service members. It's all about re-establishing connections while creating items that add a bit more comfort and joy to everyday environments.

Each stitch starts with a purpose — selecting colors that resonate with the design and feelings you wish to convey in your quilt.
We choose our materials considering your design, and we will utilize your fabric or clothing to craft a keepsake that preserves cherished memories.
Each item we produce starts with the first cut of fabric and the initial stitch sewn. The quilt is not considered complete until the very last perfect stitch is made.
